Fix – The Pull – 5-1-16
Superior Foes of Spider-Man is one of my all time favorite comic books. Nick Spencer and Steve Lieber pulled off what is arguably one of the best heist/comedy comic books of all time. Who would’ve thought that such an amazing, hilarious, and raunchy book would have come out of Marvel in this age of mega super hero fandom? And with a name like “Superior Foes of Spider-Man”, it seemed like this book was bound for failure. Sure enough, it was hailed as a critical success.
With The Fix, this duo teams up again to put out a similar book. The fact that they’re publishing with Image means that they can be completely uncensored. The first issue of the Fix, out last month, was a hilarious romp. I can’t remember the last time I laughed so much while reading a comic book. If you loved Superior Foes (and are old enough), I cant recommend this book enough. Support your creators, buy the book!
