The Pull – 4-9-14 – Amazing Foes of Spider-Man!

feb140789Last week was jam packed with Charles Soule’s work. It was a great week for him and for comics in general. I love where he is going with Swamp Thing and She-Hulk, while I am not quite sold on Inhuman. This week is smaller than usual, but that’s all fine by me since I need to save some money.

Here goes:

Star Wars #16

The Walking Dead #125

Avengers A.I. #11

Daredevil #1.50

Superior Foes of Spider-Man #11

Star Wars has had a wonderful last run so far for Dark Horse. It’s sad to see it leave the publisher after so long. Still, the series is going back to its roots, and with Brian Wood not being a stranger to Marvel, I’d really like to see him head that publisher’s next foray in the series.

The Walking Dead’s All Out War arc has been fantastic, so of course I am ready to read the next chapter in the series. With things quickly coming to an end here, it is going to be really interesting to see where these next couple issues take us.

Moving on, Avengers A.I. has been a wonderful sleeper hit. This is a book that I had the very high reservations for. I mean, I don’t think anyone expected much out of this book. As it turns out, this has been one of the more entertaining comics I have been reading. It has never really disappointed me, which is sad because I can’t see the series lasting too much longer. Oh well, it’s here for now so I am going to enjoy it while it’s here.

Talking of sleeper hits, a new Superior Foes is out this week which means pure goodness. With Superior Spider-Man coming to an end next week, I can’t help but wonder what’s next for this series…do I see an Amazing Foes of Spider-Man on the horizon? Maybe. Read this series from the beginning if you haven’t already. You won’t be disappointed.
