All kidding aside, this is actually one of the smallest pulls that I’ve had in a while, and that’s not a bad thing. A little more money in the wallet is just what I need. After all, Sunset Overdrive is begging to be played.

Last week I read some great books including Walking Dead, Lazarus, and Superman. Speaking of ole Supe’s, that book has been fantastic from Johns’ writing all the way down to Romita’s art. Love him or hate him, Romita’s simplistic, blocky, and borderline sloppy art is fantastic…that just doesn’t make sense now does it? It’s hard to put a finger on why I love it so much, but I just do. His art is endearing to me. And it really hasn’t changed all that much since the early 90’s.  Not all things can be explained I guess.

This week I am most excited to read Low. While many writers take their new, independent stories really slow, and at times painstakingly so, Remender is moving at a breakneck pace which is refreshing. The art is beautiful from top to bottom. At this point, I’m not sure how things will turn out, but as of now, I am having a great time reading this book.
